A Success Story - BaSIC at Laser-Optics-Berlin 2010
On March 2010 a brokerage event was held during the Laser Optics in Berlin (LOB) (www.laser-optics-berlin.de).
The LOB is an existing and already established biannual International Trade Fair and Convention for Optical and Laser Technologies including a high-ranking congress programme. The theme of this year's congress was "Optical Technologies for Measurement and Production”.
All BaSIC project partners’ regions (www.basic-net.eu) are members in the EurOffice Network. The BaSIC partners as well as companies and R&D institutions of the partner regions were present at a joint booth in order to get a good visibility.
This shall give especially companies and R&D institutions of the BaSIC partner regions the possibility to find new cooperation partners by offering a communication platform.
During the LOB2010 the BaSIC partners offered a very structured programme to companies and R&D institutes to find potential customers and cooperation partners:
BaSIC event no.1 “Cluster Colloquium”:
A BaSIC project event – organized as open event – for presentations of regional competencies and potential in the field of optics, photonics, lasers, micro/nano. Here the BaSIC Cluster Report – an overview on key players in business and R&D for Photonics / Optical Technologies – was presented.
BaSIC event no.2 “Seminar: Doing Business in the Baltic Sea Region”:
A BaSIC project event – organized as open event – to provide interested attendees information about the needs to start a business in the BaSIC partner regions. Here the BaSIC Manual – an overview on market access conditions in the Baltic Sea Regions – was presented.
Matching/brokerage event:
A brokerage event with pre-organized business meetings via online tool for companies, R&D institutions as well as network organizations – organized as open event.
BaSIC partners’ “Get Together”:
For better cooperation mainly between the exhibitors of the joint BaSIC booth a Get Together was organized in the evening of March 22nd, 2010.
LOB2010 evening reception:
All BaSIC participants were automatically invited to attend the official Laser-Optics-Berlin 2010 evening reception, which was organized on March 23rd, 2010. This event was an additional opportunity to network within an informal atmosphere.
